Submit Your Demo to Record Labels; New Company Launches Campaign to Find Best Unsigned Talent |
Submitademo.com will screen demos for major & independent record labels.
Birmingham, AL April 24, 2007 — Unsolicited Demos may soon be a thing of the past thanks to a new Birmingham based company - Submitademo.com. The company will screen demos for major and independent record labels. Most record companies and music industry executives don’t have the time to screen demos of artists and bands eager to land a record deal. Legal issues also make it nearly impossible for companies to accept demos. Submit A Demo will screen every demo they receive on behalf of all the major and independent labels who have agreed to their free service. Submit A Demo will find the talent and showcase the top artists on their site - www.submitademo.com.
In addition to screening demos, the company is in the process of developing a network of A&R Buzz Spotters throughout the U.S. (teens and young adults who actively scout out new talent and keep the company up-to-date on the latest buzz in their own music market.)
“It’s a brilliant idea,” says Justin Oliver, Director of A&R at Playroom Records, Inc. “We receive around 100 demos per month. It’s a painful process to screen every single demo. They are becoming the eyes and ears for scouting out great talent for our label.”
Submitademo.com is a free service for artists, bands, and songwriters of all genres. For more information about the company, and how you can submit your demo, visit the company’s website - www.submitademo.com.
